Waldorf NW1 Wavetable Module for Eurorack

Geschreven door peter op . Geplaatst in Nieuws, Waldorf

Waldorf NW1 nw1 is our debut product for the popular Eurorack format. It includes an advanced wavetable engine with independent control of spectral envelope and noisiness – just like Nave.

Wavetable scanning is cyclic with optional modulation of travel speed, position, spectrum, and more besides. By providing the worshipped Waldorf wavetable set from the classic Microwave and Wave synthesizers, nw1 will enrich your Eurorack modular system as a potently powerful sound source. The nw1 sound engine also allows for onboard creation of user wavetables via time domain multiple foldover analysis. All you need to do is connect any sound source to the nw1 to transfer audio into a wavetable. Or use the integrated speech synthesizer to translate typed text into wavetables.

Wavetable synthesis is an extremely powerful sound source suited to producing all kinds of vivid metallic hues and digital clangorous tones. It can create organic, bell-like timbres, as well as spectacular-sounding scans through various waveforms with truly ear-opening results. It was almost impossible to create these kinds of sharp-edged, digital sounds back before the invention of wavetable synthesis in the late-Seventies.

Starting with the wavetable synthesizers of those days, a whole new sound palette left its imprint on so many hit records. Today, with Waldorf‘s neatly-sized nw1 Wavetable Module, this sound is readily available for the popular Eurorack standard – sounding just as pure, sharp, and massively destructive as it did back in the golden days of digital!

hosa

Hosa Edge Microphone Cables proudly utilize Neutrik XX-series connectors. Manufactured with gold-plated contacts for corrosion resistance, a Zinc die-cast housing for rock-solid reliability, chuck-type strain relief for maximum cable retention, a boot with a polyurethane gland to prevent cable kinking, and an ergonomic design that ensures easy handling, Neutrik connectors are the ideal terminations for a cable designed to provide stellar performance and durability. Hosa Edge Microphone Cables employ 20 AWG Oxygen-Free Copper (OFC) conductors along with polyethylene dielectrics and a 95% OFC braided shield. This reduces resistance and capacitance for maximum signal transfer and crystal-clear high frequency transmission while providing maximum noise rejection.

Technology

The patented technology behind Comply™ Foam Tips is unrivaled. With engineering based on knowledge of ear-canal structure and with innovative memory-foam technology, Comply™ products dramatically enhance your listening experience.

Comply™ Foam Tips

Comply™ Foam Tips are made with high-tech, viscoelastic polyurethane foam. This heat-sensitive,  breathable foam conforms to the dynamic shape of the ear canal, providing a perfect in-ear fit. The foam’s passive noise-reduction technology seals out unwanted ambient sound and funnels pure music directly into the ear canal, without leaking bass. Thirty times softer than the silicone used on ordinary, factory-supplied earbuds, Comply™ Foam Tips are extraordinarily comfortable, reducing irritation and fatigue and leaving listeners with clear, crisp sound. Numerous earphone tests using Comply™ Foam Tips have shown no significant reduction in frequency response when compared to ordinary silicone tips (testing performed using a pure tone frequency sweep from 200 Hz – 8,000 Hz). comply technology Integral Protection – A built-in filter safeguards earphones from wax and debris, but is virtually transparent acoustically (less than 2dB transmission loss). Superior Attenuation – Comply™ Foam Tips offer excellent noise isolation. Actual attenuation depends on earphone design and frequency. Flexible Core – Several sizes to fit most earphones. Engineered materials are tailored to provide optimal coefficient of friction for attaching to the earphone and soft durometer for comfort. Super-Soft Memory Foam – Extremely soft polyurethane foam for long-term, comfortable wear. Also, conforms to the ear canal to maintain an acoustic seal and retain earphone in the ear. (Average compression modulus around 1.5 psi at 98˙F and 50%RH) Ergonomic Design – Sleek, tapered shape is designed to provide both easy insertion and stability in the ear canal. Sustained Response – Numerous earphones tested using Comply™ Foam Tips have shown no significant reduction in frequency response versus an ordinary silicone tip. (Testing performed using a pure tone frequency sweep from 200Hz-8000Hz)

Comply™ Noise-Reduction Earphones

The casings for Comply™ NR-10 and NR-10i Earphones are sealed separately to ensure maximum performance. And unlike active noise-reduction systems, they do not require batteries.

Integrated protective wax-guard

Built-in filter safeguards earphones from wax and debris that can diminish sound quality and damage earphones, but is virtually transparent acoustically, yielding a transmission loss of less than 2dB.

Flexible core

Core diameter varies by model to fit most earphones. Engineered materials provide optimal friction coefficient for attaching tip to earphone and soft durometer for comfort.

Ultrasoft, body heat-activated memory foam

Extremely soft polyurethane foam for long-term, comfortable wear. The foam is activated by body heat, conforming perfectly to the shape of the ear canal and resulting in an acoustic seal that funnels pure sound and provides an exceptional in-ear fit.

Ergonomic design

The ergonomic design yields superior attenuation for optimal noise isolation. The sleek, tapered shape also provides easy insertion and stability in the ear canal. Check compatibility, click here
